I want to make Bernalillo County an even-better place
to live!
Please help support me in this vision!
Dear Friend,
One of my good friends who has known me for almost 30 years, Chris
Vigil, a past President of the New Mexico Home Builders
Association, sent me a generous campaign contribution
last week.
In the envelope with his check was a note that read: "Michael,
if we were to try to design the perfect candidate for County Commissioner....
you would be it!"
Having been actively involved in civic and political issues
as an Albuquerque City Councilor in the late
eighties and as a New Mexico State Senator in
the mid-nineties, I have worked hard to put forth common
sense ideas while always being an outspoken voice
for my district's best interests.
My business and professional background has been especially
diverse. I worked my way through college as a professional
photographer, spent two years as Public Information Officer for
NM State Government, was a licensed Real Estate Broker
for 25 years, co-founded and managed a large retail business
and now write, design and publish guides and training material
for law enforcement, motor vehicle administrators and private
industry.
With these qualifications, experience and my drive and determination,
I am now running for Bernalillo County Commissioner so
that I can fight rising property tax hikes and demand
fiscal responsibility. We are unfairly overtaxing our
best natural resource, our county residents. We must improve
law enforcement, streamline the court system, increase conviction
rates and lower inmate recidivism. The
inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center (which costs
us $71 million a year to operate) should be working daily
to reimburse county residents.
I will fight the anti-business attitude that
has evolved over the past decade; especially the out-of-
control Water Authority that has engaged in a reckless
pattern of back door anti-development maneuvers. I understand
the need for quality growth and I strongly support
pro-business policies!
Together we can make government more accountable
and halt our ever-increasing property taxes.
With your financial support now, we can and will win this election
on June 3rd and move our county forward! Please write your contribution
check today for $500, $250, $100 or even $50 to “Committee
to Elect Michael Wiener - County Commissioner” and send
it to:
Michael C. Wiener
13247 Morning Mist Ave. NE
Albuquerque, NM 87111
Your support is urgently needed NOW to help us
reach our goal and pay for our printings, mailings, signs and
radio messages.
Thank you for standing by me! I am grateful for your friendship
and financial support.
Sincerely,
MICHAEL C. WIENER
P.S.: It is crucial that we raise $50,000 so
that our message can be heard loud and clear by the 160,000 residents
of District 4....and I’m hoping I can count on your
financial support now!
